Random Group Generator

Paste the register one name per line, choose number of groups, and set how many you want. Sizes come out within one person of each other automatically.

Names are dealt one at a time around the groups, so the remainder is spread out. Thirteen people into four groups gives you 4, 3, 3, 3 rather than 4, 4, 4, 1.

Not automatically. Shuffle, and if a pairing does not work, shuffle again - with more than a handful of names you will get a different arrangement every time.

Yes. Paste a column straight in, or a comma-separated list - both are split correctly, and blank lines are ignored.

No. The names stay in your browser, are never sent to a server and are gone when you close the tab.

There is no set limit. Several hundred names paste and shuffle without any noticeable delay.
