Launch streaks

A streak counts consecutive launch weeks in which a maker shipped at least one product that went live on the board. Weeks run Monday to Monday in UTC, and missing a single week ends the run - there is no grace period, because a streak with exceptions is not measuring anything.

Streaks are deliberately a shipping metric rather than a quality one. A long streak tells you a maker keeps finishing and publishing things, which is genuinely rare and genuinely predictive of eventually building something good. It tells you nothing about whether any individual product in the run was worth using, and the verification badges are there for that.

We do not weight streaks into the board ranking. A product from a maker on a thirty-week run competes on the same evidence as a product from a first-time launcher, because inherited reputation is exactly the thing that makes most launch boards a popularity contest.

Products submitted purely to keep a streak alive get removed if they are not real products, and removing one breaks the run. The point is to reward shipping, not to reward gaming a counter.
