What should I do with the list?
Triage it. A directory sitting outside the top million rarely returns the hour it takes to submit; anything scoring above 45 is worth a personal pitch.
Why only 25?
Each domain is a separate lookup against a public ranking service. Twenty-five keeps the request fast and keeps us a polite client of a free service.
Do results get cached?
Yes, for a week. Tranco itself only republishes daily, so a fresher lookup would return the same number.
What is a good use for a bulk check?
Directory submission lists and link prospect lists. Both are usually padded with dead sites, and one pass tells you which two dozen entries out of a hundred are worth an hour.
Can I export the results?
Copy them straight out of the table - the values are plain text and paste into a spreadsheet cleanly.
Why do some domains return nothing?
They sit outside the top million by traffic. That is the honest answer rather than a fabricated score, and for a directory it usually means skip it.
Does subdomain or www matter?
Enter the registrable domain without www. The ranking is measured at the domain level, so blog.example.com and example.com return the same figure.
