Optionally upload an avatar and set the reply, repost and like counts. 3. Pick light, dim or dark to match where the image will be used, then download the PNG. ## Questions ### Is this a real tweet? No. It is an image drawn in your browser. Nothing is posted, nothing exists on X, and the image has no link because there is no underlying post. ### Is it legal to use a fake tweet image? For parody, teaching, memes, design mockups and slide decks, generally yes. Presenting one as a genuine screenshot of a real person's account is defamation or fraud depending on what it says, and platforms remove manipulated-media posts. Label it. ### Does the image have a watermark? No. The PNG is exactly what you see in the preview, at 1200 pixels wide for a crisp result on retina screens and in slides. ### Are my uploads sent to a server? No. The avatar is decoded and drawn by your browser on a canvas element. Nothing leaves your machine, and there is nothing to delete afterwards. ### Why does my text look different from a real tweet? Real tweets use Chirp, which is not a public web font. This draws in your system UI font, which is close but not identical - fine for mockups, noticeable if you put it beside a genuine screenshot. ### Can I add an image or a quoted tweet? Not yet. This covers the common case: avatar, name, badge, text, timestamp and counts. Attached media and quote tweets need a second layout. ### What size is the download? 1200 pixels wide, with the height set by how much text you wrote. That is the right size for slides, blog posts and social cards without upscaling. ### Can I use it for a design mockup? That is the best use for it.
